Irregular chromium powder refers to the chromium powder which the shape is irregular under the scanning electron microscope (SEM). It is the most common chromium powder. Compared with spherical chromium powder, irregular chromium powder has lower production cost and wider application.

Irregular chromium powder is made from degassed high purity electrolytic chromium chips and crushed to obtain chromium powder of various sizes. It is mainly used in high-purity chromium sputtering targets, chromium alloys and various additives.
