Molybdenum carbide powder is a kind of carbide ceramic powder with gray black appearance. The chemical formula is Mo2C. Molybdenum carbide has high melting point and hardness, good thermal stability and mechanical stability, and good corrosion resistance. The melting point is 2692 ℃. It is insoluble in water and lye, and slightly soluble in nitric acid, sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid.
According to different particle sizes, molybdenum carbide powder can be divided into coarse molybdenum carbide powder, fine molybdenum carbide powder, extremely fine molybdenum carbide powder, ultra-fine molybdenum carbide powder and molybdenum carbide nanopowder. We mainly produce and provide ultra-fine molybdenum carbide powder.
Molybdenum Carbide Powder Application
Molybdenum carbide powder has very high melting point and hardness, good thermal stability and mechanical stability, and excellent corrosion resistance, which can be used in many occasions and fields. The details are as follows:
1. It is widely used in various fields such as high temperature resistance, abrasion resistance and chemical corrosion resistance;
2. Molybdenum carbide has the electronic structure and catalytic characteristics similar to precious metals, and is used as a catalyst for reactions involving hydrogen, such as alkane isomerization, unsaturated hydrocarbon hydrogenation, hydrodesulfurization and denitrification;
3. It can be used as superhard tool material, wear-resistant material, heating element material and high-temperature structural material.
