Spherical vanadium powder refers to vanadium powder which is spherical under scanning electron microscope (SEM). Compared with non spherical vanadium powder, the production cost of spherical vanadium powder is higher. But the flowability is much better. It is mainly used in some occasions with high requirements for flowability.
Spherical vanadium powder is mainly produced by plasma rotating electrode method and induction plasma spheroidization process. The plasma rotating electrode method (PREP) is only suitable for the preparation of coarse spherical vanadium powders with particle sizes of 45-105 um and 45-150 um. It is not suitable for the preparation of spherical vanadium powders with particle sizes less than 45 um. The induction plasma spheroidization process can prepare spherical vanadium powders with particle sizes of 15-45 um, 15-53 um, 45-105 um, and 45-150 um.
Spherical Vanadium Powder Application
Spherical vanadium powder produced by FUSHEL has narrow particle size range, smooth and clean powder particle surface, less hollow powder and satellite powder, less gas inclusion, and high quality. It is suitable for spraying, hot isostatic pressing, 3D printing (additive manufacturing), high-end powder metallurgy, laser cladding and other fields and occasions.
