Tin nanoparticles refer to tin nanoparticles with an average particle size of less than 100 nm. The particle size of nano tin powder can not be accurately measured by laser particle size analyzer, which is mainly determined by observation and measurement under scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Tin nanopowder should be sealed and stored in a dry and cool environment. It should not be exposed to the air for a long time to prevent moisture and agglomeration, which will affect the dispersion performance and use effect. In addition, heavy pressure should be avoided and it should not contact with oxidants.

Tin Nanopowder Application

Nano tin powder can be used as additives and conductive coatings on metal and non-metal surfaces. The details are as follows:

1. Metal nano lubricating additive
Adding 0.1~1% nano tin powder to lubricating oil and grease can form self-lubricating and self repairing film on the surface of the friction pair during the friction process, which can significantly reduce the anti-wear and antifriction performance of the friction pair.

2. Activating sintering additives
Nanometer tin powder in powder metallurgy can greatly reduce the sintering temperature of powder metallurgy products and high-temperature ceramic products.

3. Surface conductive coating treatment of metal and nonmetal
This technology can be used in the production of microelectronic devices by coating at a temperature lower than the melting point of powder under oxygen free conditions.
