Cerium hexaboride (CeB6, also called cerium boride) is an inorganic chemical and it is a boride of cerium. Cerium hexaboride is a refractory ceramic material. It has a low work function, one of the highest electron emissivities known, and is stable in vacuum.
Cerium hexaboride sputtering target is a kind of high purity cerium hexaboride raw material by sputtering deposition. According to the different shapes, cerium hexaboride sputtering targets can be divided into circular, rectangular, square, annular, oval, cylindrical, planar, rotatable (rotary) cerium hexaboride targets. Cerium hexaboride can be used as a coating of hot cathodes. It usually operates at temperature of 1450 °C.
Cerium Hexaboride Sputtering Target Application
High purity cerium hexaboride sputtering target can be used in many applications. The details are as follows:
- Semiconductor;
- Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) display;
- Physical vapor deposition (PVD) display;
- Optical applications.
