Germanium telluride is a chemical compound of germanium and tellurium. The molecular formula is GeTe. The density is 6.14 g/cm3. The melting point is 725 ℃. Germanium telluride exists in three major crystalline forms, room-temperature α (rhombohedral) and γ (orthorhombic) structures and high-temperature β (cubic, rocksalt-type) phase; α phase being most phase for pure GeTe below the ferroelectric Curie temperature of approximately 670 K.
Germanium telluride sputtering target is a kind of high purity germanium telluride raw material by sputtering deposition. According to the different shapes, germanium telluride sputtering targets can be divided into circular, rectangular, square, annular, oval, cylindrical, planar, rotatable (rotary) germanium telluride targets. Germanium telluride can be used in low temperature superconductors.
