Iridium is a kind of rare and precious metal material with silver white appearance. The element symbol is Ir. The atomic number is 77 and the atomic weight is 192.22. The melting point is 2450 ℃, and the service temperature of iridium products can reach 2100 ~ 2200 ℃. Iridium has high elastic modulus (538.3gpa), low Poisson's coefficient (0.26) and poor low temperature plasticity. Iridium is the most corrosion-resistant metal. The dense iridium is insoluble in all inorganic acids and can not be eroded by other metal melts.
