Iron boride has two main types (FeB, Fe2B). It has useful properties such as magnetism, electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and extreme hardness. Iron monoboride is a grey powder that is insoluble in water. It is a soft ferromagnetic compound that becomes paramagnetic above ~325 °C (617 °F). In air, FeB powders begins to react with the ambient oxygen above 300 °C.
Iron boride sputtering target is a kind of high purity iron boride raw material by sputtering deposition. According to the different shapes, iron boride sputtering targets can be divided into circular, rectangular, square, annular, oval, cylindrical, planar, rotatable (rotary) iron boride targets. Iron borides can be used as hardening coatings for iron. Boride coatings on iron are superior mechanical, frictional, and anti-corrosive.
Iron Boride Sputtering Target Application
High purity iron boride sputtering target can be used in many applications. The details are as follows:
- Semiconductor;
- Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) display;
- Physical vapor deposition (PVD) display;
- Optical applications.
