Tungsten disulfide belongs to hexagonal crystal system, which has semiconductivity and diamagnetism. The density of tungsten disulfide is 7.50g/cm3. Tungsten disulfide is slightly soluble in cold water and in hot water. Insoluble in hydrochloric acid and alkali (except the mixture of concentrated nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid). Soluble in molten alkali, insoluble in alcohol.
