Nickel foil refers to an ultra-thin nickel foil less than 0.20 mm. Compared with nickel strip, the thickness of nickel foil is thinner, and the production process requirements are higher. Nickel foil production process: After baking nickel plate and ultra-low carbon furnace charge, they are put into an electron beam cooling bed furnace for melting to obtain a casting billet. The obtained cast billet is forged and then hot rolled to produce a 4-6 mm nickel slab. The hot rolled slab is placed in a vacuum heat treatment furnace for semi hard annealing. After repeated cold rolling and annealing, and finally degreasing and cleaning, 0.01-0.05mm semi-finished hard pure nickel foil can be obtained. Finally, refined nickel foil can be obtained through tensile straightening treatment.
According to the different purity, nickel foil can be divided into 2N5 high-purity nickel foil, 3N high-purity nickel foil, and 3N5 high-purity nickel foil. 2N5 high-purity nickel foil is made from 99.5% nickel. 3N nickel foil uses 99.9% high purity nickel raw material, while 3N5 uses 99.95% high purity nickel raw material.
