Molybdenum is a silvery white metal with atomic radius of 0.14nm, atomic volume of 235.5px/mol and coordination number of 8. The crystal belongs to AZ type body centered cubic system with space group Oh (lm3m). The lattice parameters of molybdenum vary from 0.31467 to 0.31475nm at room temperature. The density of molybdenum is 10.23g/cm, the thermal expansion coefficient of molybdenum is 4.9 × 10 / ℃ at 20 ~ 100 ℃, and the thermal conductivity of molybdenum is 142.35w / (m · K). The resistivity of molybdenum is 5.17 × - 10 Ω· cm at 0 ℃, 24.6 × - 10 Ω· cm at 800 ℃ and 72 × - 10 Ω· cm at 2400 ℃. Molybdenum is paramagnetic. The specific magnetization coefficient of molybdenum with 99.99% purity is 0.93 × 10cm / g at 25 ℃. The specific heat of molybdenum is 242.8 J / (kg · K) at 25 ℃. The Mohs hardness of molybdenum is 5 ~ 5.5. The evaporation heat of molybdenum at boiling point is 594 kJ / mol, melting heat is 27.6 ± 2.9 kJ / mol, and sublimation heat is 659 kJ / mol at 25 ℃.
