Platinum crucible is a kind of high purity platinum crucible mainly used in industry. It is made of high purity platinum. According to the different processing technology of platinum crucible, it can be divided into die stamped and spinning platinum crucible. Among them:
Stamped Platinum Crucible
Advantages: small processing difficulty and high processing efficiency;
Disadvantages: the bottom die stamping is used to make the platinum sheet stretch forming. Because of the local point stress, the wall thickness of the stressed part will be thinner than that of other parts, and the thickness of the whole crucible will be uneven, which will eventually affect the service life of the platinum crucible.
Spinning Platinum Crucible
Spinning forming technology refers to the process of forming by mechanical rotation, which makes the stress point of sheet metal from point to line to surface, and at the same time, gives a certain pressure in a certain direction to make the metal material deform and flow along this direction. It overcomes the disadvantages of the traditional stamping process, such as uniform processing force on the whole die surface and high precision of the stamping process.
Platinum Crucible Application
The surface of the platinum crucible is smooth, the wall thickness is uniform, and the entire crucible has no seams. It is mainly used in the following occasions and fields:
1. Pure platinum crucibles can be used to grow optoelectronic single crystals such as lithium niobate, sodium barium niobate, as well as ferrite single crystals and arsenide and phosphide single crystals with piezoelectric, ferroelectric, pyroelectric, electro-optic, and acousto-optic properties;
2. Platinum crucibles can be used for high-temperature material analysis, corrosive material analysis, glass composition analysis, etc;
3. Platinum crucibles can be used for melting common metals or precious metal materials.
